about us
TS2 Hospitality formed in 2016 when Spike and Steve Ehrhardt brought over 50 years of combined hotel experience to the greater Kansas City area and added Tom Koenigsfeld to the ownership team. Together, our goal is to build a company that adds value to our community by providing comfortable lodging, exceptional service, and meaningful job opportunities.

Founder & Owner
Spike Ehrhardt
Spike is the reason we all got into this mess. When he was in high school in 1959, Spike worked at a fast food restaurant called Sandy's in Quincy, IL. He worked his way up to store manager and began opening new locations, experiencing the thrill of building a small empire. In 1967 Hardee's bought Sandy's, and the Ehrhardts eventually owned and operated over 60 Hardee's locations. Spike shifted to the hotel business when he opened his first Super 8 in 1988. He has now owned and operated over 30 hotels in Missouri, Illinois, Kansas and Oklahoma. He lives in Hannibal, MO with his wife Theresa, and is actively involved in organizations including Holy Family Catholic Church and Kiwanis Club.

Steve Ehrhardt
Steve made it a family affair. A graduate of the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, he worked for State Farm before joining the family business overseeing openings and operations for the Ehrhardt’s Hardee’s locations. In the late 90s, he switched to the hotel side of the business. A true overachiever, Steve serves on multiple boards including the Missouri Military Preparedness and Enhancement Commission and the Whiteman Air Force Base Community Council. Steve has also served as president of the Missouri Hotel and Lodging Association and as global chairman of the IHG Owners Association. He lives in Springfield, Missouri with his wife Donna.

Tom Koenigsfeld
Tom put the T in TS2. A native of Jefferson City, MO, he graduated from the University of Missouri and began his business career with Hormel Foods, which took him to Kansas City, Boston, Minneapolis, and Cincinnati. Following a second career stop with Learfield Sports, Tom returned to Missouri to join the Ehrhardt’s just in time to open the Fairfield by Marriott in Warrensburg. Tom lives in Lee's Summit with his wife Stacey and three kids, Lucy, Calvin, and Stella. He's involved in his church, loves coaching his kids in sports he's never played, and is a member of the Warrensburg Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Warrensburg and Olathe Chambers of Commerce.
